AW 15 R2: Plugged in, but switching to battery mode
OS: Windows 10 64bit; BIOS is updated
As of now, my AW 15 R2 keeps on switching to battery mode while plugged in. It will charge then switch to battery back and forth all the time.
Seeking for help. Thanks!

Sounds like your power adapter is failing, or underpowered, I would RMA it if you still are in warranty.
When your sent the wrong adapter with these high end gaming laptops and you are using the system under heavy loads such as in a game, your power adapter may be underpowered and not able to keep up with the power draw your laptop pulls.
I ordered a Alienware 17 R2 a year ago, they sent me a 160W adapter with my laptop... the adapter would die when I would go in games and my laptop switched to battery power, I had to ask for them to send me the proper adapter. For me it was the 240W adapter that I needed to keep up with my system. Once I got my new 240W adapter plugged in it has never switched to battery power while I was gaming since.

however i've got the 240W adapter which is this model "adp-240ab d". any thoughts?

Is desktop battery mode enabled?

No it was not in the Desktop Mode Battery Charge.
Any other suggestions on this issue? Really annoying.
