Advice on Graphics Card Upgrade
I have a 2012 Aurora R3. The power supply is the stock 875w. I currently have the originally installed AMD 6870. What graphics card would you recommend as a good step up from the 6870 that will work with my Aurora R3. Are there any tutorials for replacing the card and drivers?

Hi,
You could go for the AMD Radeon HD 6950 or 6990, both are validated GPU upgrade options for the Alienware Aurora R3. You should be able to find the drivers on the Dell support site or on the AMD support site. Click here to view a video that explains how to properly remove and replace the video card on the Alienware Aurora.

The 6950 / 6990 are really old cards. I can't even find them for sale. What current generation Video cards work well with my computer.
