AlienAutopsy Please help :(
Hi,
i have an X51 Alienware computer.
i am running windows 8
my problem with alienautopsy is that i can't stop it from scanning and notifying me with stuff.
i like its health checks but i want to do that on my own time, i have disabled all that seems relevant but nothing is stopping it, i don't know how to disable it from startup because i can't see it in startup, even if i manually close the program, an hour or 2 later when i'm playing i find that it's on and scanning stuff or telling me about windows updates or whatever.
please please help
mine is version 3..5.6

Open the Alien Autopsy, there's a grey "button" that says Notifications.
Scroll down and you will find another button called: "Additional Tools", look for Settings; There's one that says Hardware Scan.
You can disable it completely on that page, or have it run daily, weekly or monthly.
Let me know if this helps you out.

Hi,
i unfortunately don't see the grey button you have mentioned.
in picture 1 this is my main screen and i see no grey button there, only settings.
when i press settings i get the screen in picture 2 which has a notification tab which is all about how i'm notified. i actually DONT want it to scan, it's not like i want it to scan and not notify me.
the other tab called checkup has an option to enable scheduled scan which i have unticked. it still scans with a mind and a preference of its own.
please help

I'm taking a stab in the dark but if you select schedule hardware scan would that not solve your issue?

nope :(
enabling or disabling the schedule scan does not stop it from randomly popping up and scanning and notifying with the findings.
