Hello Eimy. 

I formatted my laptop last night so everything is up to date. The format itself wasn't the cause of the problem since it was always like this since day one.

As for the Bios, there is no option for ON/OFF touch-pad light. There's only AUTO/ON. I did install all the latest drivers from Dell's website. Including the BIOS A09.

Hi ZaDoo‌,

Follow ALL the steps on this article: How to Remove and Reinstall the Alienware Command Center. So try reinstalling the Command Center.

Also just in case there is an option in the Bios to turn the touch-pad ligth ON/OFF. Enter the BIOS (F2) > Advance tab > Touchpad backlight.

What Windows version do you have? And also, what Command Center version are you installing?
