Alienware 13 R2, Best/maximum ram?
I recently got an AW 13 R2 and was wondering what I should do for ram upgrades. It has the 6th gen i7 in it. Is it possible to put in DDR4? I had heard rumors that the 5th gens were able to use up to 32GB. So far I have found a decent Corsair pair of 8GB DDR3L's for 16GB. Seems like I should be able to find something faster / larger. Any recommendations or info would be appreciated!

The Alienware 13-R2 specifications page states =
So no DDR4 and no 32GB. You must be thinking of the Alienware 13-R3 which uses 32GB DDR4.

Looking at the Dell SUpport Assist app, it tells me that it can support up to 32GB of ram, which seems to conflict. I know you can't order one with 32, but I have heard that it does work for some models and it seems the computer I have is saying it will take it.

I can only go by the specifications externally and internally. My advice, take it to a local store and have them install two 16GB (SODIMM, 1600MHz, 2RX8, DDR3L, S) sticks and see if it boots up.
