Alienware 14 Battery not detecting
Hi Team,
I could not get help from Dell Tech Support since my product is out of Warranty period. Now I get the battery problem that its not being detected, but working fine while the chargeable adapter is plugged in. Kindly help how should I get support to resolve this?
Thanks,
Surya

Hello,
Try the steps below.
* Turn off the laptop
* Unplug the AC adapter from the laptop
* Disconnect, then reconnect the AC adapter into the wall power outlet
* Remove the battery from the laptop
* Hold the laptop power button in for 30 seconds
* Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter to the system
* Power the laptop on
Let us know how it goes.

You're very welcome,
Unfortunately, it appears the battery has reached its life span. There aren't any other troubleshooting procedures for a problem like this, the battery needs to be replaced.

Thanks for your help,
Surprisingly, there is a vertical line on LCD started exactly at the same time since the battery problem occurred. Now its booting with a vertical line on LCD. Tried booting with D and startup button, it shows the vertical line on all the color background.
For battery, I will order for replacement. :-)
Thanks again,
Surya
