Alienware 15 R2 Cooling fans
I just picked up my new Alienware 15 R2 and was wondering if there is a way to change the cooling fans to run on high all the time. I use headphones so fan noise dose not bother me one bit. I would prefer to have my fans running full bore all the time to help keep system cooling.

Hi,
We do not have any Alienware software that can control the fan speeds. They are automatically configured. However, there is third party software that you can download which allows you to control the fan speeds.

Just go into the thermal controller area of the command center and select manual thermal control. You can then ramp up the fans to whatever speed you want. Although I see no reason as due to the design of the system it already runs very cool with minimum fan speed.

aoamchart,
That feature in the Command Center is only available for some of our Alienware desktops, it is not available for the notebooks.
