Alienware 15 R3 FX problems

Question

I recently purchased an Alienware 15 R3. Its all working fine apart from the lights. They will work once the laptop is turned on, but as soon as the laptop is put into sleep or turned off,  they become unresponsive. The only way I've found to get them to respond again is to hold the power button down for 10 seconds until the laptop turns off, then unplug everything that is plugged into it, then restart. They then work fine until the laptop is put into sleep again, then the cycle repeats.Anybody else had this problem or know of a fix?
