Alienware 17 R3 keyboard not working
Hi,
I bought my Alienware 17 R3 (Windows 10) a few months ago and over the last couple of weeks I've had keys randomly stop responding in certain situations. The login screen often doesn't accept the 'A', 'V','B' or 'N' keys for instance. I've also had these keys not work in Firefox. If I keep one of the unresponsive keys held down for a few seconds it'll sometimes respond.
Has anyone come across this problem before?
thanks,
L.

Hi,
Have you tried using an external keyboard just to confirm if it does the same thing?

Hi,
I've just tried an external keyboard and that works fine. The laptop keyboard is not accepting about a third of the keys (,A,S,D,I,O,B,N,M, some keypad keys etc ). I also ran the BIOS diagnostic tool and that reported everything as OK.
thanks,
L

Hi,
Thanks for confirming that. It sounds like a hardware issue. For hardware assistance, send me your Service Tag in a PM.
