Alienware 18 AC Adapter Issue

Question

My AC Adapter no longer charges my brand new Alienware 18. When I plug the adapter in to the power supply the green light is on, and the laptop charges for a split second. However, after about 3 seconds the laptop stops charging and the AC adapter light slowly fades from green to nothing. I purchased the Alienware 18 in Septembr 2014... So it doesn't make sense that the adapter would just quit on me now... does it?

Try performing a power drain and update the BIOS to the latest version you find in the support site.

And just a quick question, what happen when you unplug the ac adapter and plug it again? Will it start charging?
