Alienware 18 Slowing down?

After I enabled the SLi on my Alienware 18, and played some BF4 in Ultra, I noticed the Alienware was getting hot near the base of the monitor which. I noticed the next day, the Alienware was having a bit of trouble just starting up, from Black Screen with the Alienware logo taking 2 minutes just to finish, to the transition to Windows logging screen. I assume it couldn't be the heat, because the Alienware was playing hotter when I first bought it, and no problems occurred.

And I also noticed the Left Macro Keys dont respond properly when I change the colours and when I change the Macro Profile. When I press to change the profile, it changes profile but the colour never changes. Mine is Red, Green, and Blue. But its stuck on the colour green. And their is a random chance that makes the colour to something I have never set it on, Pink, Yellow, and even white.

Please Help

Update:

I also got this from Alienware Command Centre, I noticed the Macro Keys weren't working properly again(not changing colour when I press the top most key), and the Command Centre closed itself:

System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

I then decided to restart the laptop and as soon as it turned back on, I opened Command Centre and went to TactX, and it gave me the error again.

Have you checked the system temperatures? If not follow the instructions on this article in order to check them properly.

On regards to the error message and the problem with the macro keys I will recommend you to uninstall the command center, download the latest version you find in the Dell support website and install again.

I reinstalled Command Centre and the error code doesn't show up anymore, and the button that changes the profile in the macro keys respond properly now but there are still some instances where I have to press the button several times before it responds and still changes to the wrong color.

Regarding the slow boot time, I remember running Diagnosis on the BIOS, and checked the overall Current temperatures, they are all near the cool zone not the hot zone, that means nothing is heating up inside to the point it can damage any components inside. Should I try updating the BIOS if possible?

Yes please flash the BIOS and let me know if you notice any difference.

I just flashed/updated the BIOS and the boot time improved significantly, a question if you can provide a link to any guides that can help me overclocking my system while still staying in the safe limits?

Since overclocking the processor, video card or any other part of your Dell computer is no way recommended we don’t have much information on how to do it but I found this article, remember that any damage that occurs as a result of altering the factory set clock speeds is responsibility of the end user.
