Alienware Accelerometer driver for Windows 8.1
Hi,
I recently installed Windows 8.1 on my Alienware M14X r2 laptop, however in the Device Manager there is an unknown device sitting there. In the details section the device is labelled as ACPI\SMO8810\1. Upon research, this is the Accelerometer device.
I downloaded all the device drivers for my laptop, and most of them installed except a few which told me the OS was incompatible. I am guessing it was those failed installs that resulted in the issue I am having.
Any idea where I can get a Windows 8.1 driver for this unknown device?

Hi,
Thanks for that. I in the meantime tried running the setup in Win 7 compatibility mode and that fixed it. I will keep this driver at hand just in case.
