Alienware Alpha Issue: USB Port not working
Hi everyone, recently (just about 20 minutes ago), I got off of the phone with an Alienware representative about an issue about my Alienware Alpha i3 model (late 2014) being slow. The Alienware representative told me to go on a website called, "www.dellsupport.com", and it would automatically redirect me to a "www.dell.com/support/xxxxxxx" I do not specifically remember the redirected URL. But now that I try to go back to www.dellsupport.com, it says I do not have permission to go onto that website..which is pretty weird. Now, after I talked to the representative, he asked me to install something called the "Dell SupportAssist" -- which I did through a code he would give me to enter into the system. After installing the Dell SupportAssist, he was able to control my computer from wherever he was. He was able to download/install certain drivers (which I saw him do from dell.com/support, so they definitely were not suspicious). Suddenly, our call disconnects and he calls me with a new "800-xxx-xxxx" phone number (different from the Alienware support number). After he installed the new Alienware HiveMind update, he also installed a BiOS update. Then my Alienware Alpha restarted, and then I was given full control of my computer again. So now, he asks me to go back and download the Dell SupportAssist from dellsupport, which I did. Then I told him my dissatisfaction towards the keyboard UI that pops up due to the new HiveMind update, and so he uninstalled the Alienware HiveMind. Now, after he uninstalled it, he installs the Alienware HiveMind and this is where things go weird. The computer restarts (as it normally should), and when my computer opens up to the Alpha Console UI, none of my USB ports work anymore. After a few times of restarting, he made me hold the power button on my Alienware Alpha for a minute and then he made me try again. Unfortunately, nothing changed; the USB ports still would not work for some reason. And so we tried doing that suggestion more time, and it still did not work. The representative then said that I would soon receive a box to ship my now-dysfunctional Alienware Alpha to Alienware, so that they can fix it and I can receive a new, updated Alienware Alpha within 3-5 days of them receiving my dysfunctional product. He said he would e-mail me about the issue. I have not received my e-mail, so (for some odd reason), I am starting to feel as if I have been cheated. This is mainly because it seems somewhat suspicious that I am not receiving an e-mail about the issue, and the "www.dellsupport.com" website not giving me permission to view it (on my MacBook), and at the end of our phone call, he seemed very dismissive and brief about the process that would happen next.
Now my questions are:
1.What should I do about my situation?
2. How do I fix my dysfunctional USB ports? I noticed that when I turn on my Alienware Alpha, the USB ports briefly work. I can tell that they briefly work by the mouse and keyboard both lighting up. Then when they get to the Alpha Hivemind UI, they turn off and stop working. I cannot even use the xBox 360 controller and its receiver.

Sadly there is no other option than to reboot with Windows
