If this keeps on happening you will need to replace the CMOS battery, if you have warranty and if the issue persists, yo can send me a PM with the Service Tag.

Hi,

Unplug everything including the AC Adapter, hold the power button for 60 sec, then take open the system  to reach the CMOS battery located under mother board, and unplug battery for 5-10 min, then plug it back in, reassemble and when starting hold f12 to enter BIOS, then save and exit to OS.

Here is a video that will show you how to reset the Cmos battery:

Let me know how it goes!

Hi and thank you for the reply. I neglected to mention I'd tried this once before after reading these forums and it worked for quite a long time but did eventually come back to the angry yellow face!

It's worked again this time but it's a bit of a chore to do if it's going to become regular. Is there maintenance I can regularly do in the BIOS or similar to reduce the chances of needing to do this again?

Many thanks,

Mike

I'll try swapping out the battery then and drop you a line if that doesn't solve it.

Cheers!
