Can the alienware alpha i3 4170t be replaced by i5 4690s ?

What would be a good processor chip from the i7 series while keeping in mind the T variant processor.

No, from what I've read on the forums you need to replace it with a T variant processor. I think the S variant and others require too much power.

Hey. No you can't use 6th Gen processors (anything 6xxx) in your computer as it uses the 4th gen Intel Processors and chipsets and I believe 6th Gen requires a different chipset. I'm not sure EXACTLY what you can put in their but looking at the Dell outlet I do see an alpha that has an i7 - 4785T.
