Alienware Aurora R4 Power supply upgrade Parts Help.
I want to upgrade the Power supply in my Alienware Aurora R4 I currently have the standard 875w PSU in the system when it was first built and I would like to upgrade it to atleast a 1000w one I was wondering what the measurements are for a power supply to be put in there I would like to know if any of the Corsair PSU would fit for example the ones I was looking at are the

Hello,
You could try using the Area 51 R2 Desktop OEM PSU. Click here to see another thread from the Alienware Arena forum about this upgrade. We have seen the Corsair working without issues but we cannot confirm if it’s going to fully work since it’s a third party product. You could try posting this in the Alienware Arena forum for more information.

Measurements for a power supply are 5.9" x 3.4". As for length, the 875w in your case is about 6.5", you can get away with a psu of about 7.5" max, over 7.5" you might lose the left hard drives bay. 1000w - 1200watt psu's tend to be 7.5" & under, so they do fit, Corsair's fit, yes, check the forum.
