Alienware Aurora R4 - ambient sensor temp and fans issue
My Ambient Sensors are all at 30C. used to be about 21 - 23C. I know the weather is warmer (it's 20 today outside) but it seems a bit of a jump.
Thermal controller also shows..
CPU Pump - Running
Hard Drive fan - 1064 and PCI Fan - 1792 System Fan - 1186 (or there about, which is about normal)
But the system fan does kick in a lot more. A game I play, the system fan is about 1300 - 1500, now it jumps to 1800 - 2000 rpm in some areas.
I'm not PC savvy at all, so you'll need to speak slowly...
I just want some advice on what is making my ambient sensors at 30C and why the fans are kicking in more now.
Alienware Aurora R4, just over a year old.
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3820 CPU @ 3.60GHz

You maybe having the same problem a lot of people have had with the R4 and the liquid cooling system. There are over a hundred complaints in the Alienware forum and sure there are many, many more not showing up. Watching my control center, my readings are comparable to yours other than your system fan is running higher, Mine is between 1100 and 1200. I have the same processor as you.

Hi Fizzgigg,
The temperatures as well as the fan speeds you see in the Command Center are withing the usual range. During gaming the temperatures rise because of the stress put on the hardware, so it's also normal for the fans to spin faster to stable them. If the temperatures continue to rise it may indicate overheating caused by a Cooling System problem.
I recommend you download HWmonitor to take a closer look at the CPU and GPU temperatures and post a reply with the information if you need further assistance.
