Alienware Command Center Support for Windows 10?

Has anyone been able to get Alienware Command Center to operate in Windows 10?

When I did the upgrade install it disappeared, I rolled back to Windows 7 due to major issues, hangs, and crashes related to doing the install over the top of Windows 7..

As a result, I did a clean install which operates just fine..  However, Alienware Command Center will not install and fails stating that Windows 10 does not support it..

So as of now I have no control over any of my FX or other features under CC.

Also noted that this software hasn't been updated in a couple of years now..  So is Dell going to get off their back sides and update this or roll out a new package to handle all the features that CC did?

I didn't turn any net framework stuff off. I opened the little dropdown on net framework 3.0 and 4.6 and turned it all on ( checked/ticked all boxes)

Hi, I have been struggling with this for a while now, but I have finally found a fix that no one has pointed out on any forums I've been to.

The problem with Command Center (Thermal Controller and Alien FX) is that windows 10 disables the service that helps detecting hardware monitoring.

You need to reactivate it in the "Services".

Go to Services, and set "Windows Sensor Monitoring Service" to active, and startup mode to "Automatic".

It should fix it. At least it fixed AWCC for me and I didn't even have to reinstall it.

Thank you Mick2024, ryan_pogi & JasperY for the help. I followed your steps and I managed to install Alienware Command Center 3.5 (Didn't work with the 4.0) on Windows 10 (BIOS A06), however, it still doesn't detect my Alienware Aurora R4 and I can't control de fans or the leds. Right now my fans are at 100% all the time and the leds are off all the time, this happened from one day to the other without a logic explanation, because when I first installed Windows 10 the PC was working fine and I haven't used the Alienware Command Center for many years.

I contacted Dell Support and I have been told that I have to reinstall Windows 8 or Windows 7 to sort this issue out, which is going to be a pain in the *** and I prefer not to do so. Windows 10 has been out for a while now, and I don't understand how we can't get proper software if we are using Windows 10. Dell even sells PCs with Windows 10 now... but Alienware Command Center is yet not compatible with Windows 10. Makes no sense.

During all the process and before I saw this thread, I almost lose all my files because I had issues with the BIOS UPDATES (I read in another thread that to install the Alienware Command Center on Windows 10, you have to update your BIOS to the A11 version, and I had the A03, now I have the A06 but I'm scared of updating it more because it has given me issues with Windows and I couldn't start it) Thanks to my geeky friends that could help.

Anyway, I hope Dell releases a compatible software soon, because if customers buy fancy PCs that 4 years later start not working as expected, why should we bother paying all that money for an Alienware fancy PC?

So now I gotta find out how to make the Alienware Command Center detect my PC and change the settings :( On top of that, the fan noise is super annoying, I kind of got used to it now, but it gets into your head. (Btw, I hoovered it to see if it was because of dust, but nothing changed).

If anyone has any idea about what to do, I'd appreciate some help, thanks in advance and have a great weekend!
