Alienware Driver Update!!!
Hi all,
I have an Alienware M17x with a GeForce GTX 460M GPU. I have version 267.xx but I need version 285.xx. Dell does not have this version on their site, and when I go to download the NVIDIA drivers of the NVIDIA site, the setup fails because it doesn't detect my video card and the setup fails.
I hear Dell will be updating all Alienware drivers on October 11, is that true? If not how else will I get my drivers up to date?
So many alienware users are having trouble with this issue.
Please Help
Thanks

Hi all,
I've recently been experiancing blue screen driver_power_state_failure errors on my M17 xR3 laptop during game play. I found out that it is probably because my Nvidia driver is out of date. Can anyone help me update the driver please? I have uninstalled the previous driver as i was advised to, however, each time i try to run the Nvidia driver update program it fails to find compatible driver hardware. Please can you help!
Name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M
Device ID: PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0DD1&SUBSYS_04BA1028&REV_A1\4&361D66C5&0&0008
Driver: n/a
Thanks.

An edit on the above post -----
That extract from a dxdiag of the GeForce card no longer appears on my dxdiag now that ive uninstalled the old problem driver.
Is there anything i can do inregards to this issue? As i feel its pointless to have a graphics card in my laptop that doesnt/cant work.
Thanks

so there is a new beta driver the 290.53 out that is suppose to fix a lot of the issues going on with battlefield 3/ star wars the old republic.
any chance you could mod one for these 2 GTX 260m SLI hardware ID's?
the 1st one is: PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0618&SUBSYS_02A11028&REV_A2\4&A6937CB&0&0068
and the second is: PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0618&SUBSYS_02A11028&REV_A2\4&D82FCD&0&0060
thank you again.
