Alienware M14X r2 - upgrading bios to A02 causes computer to freeze
Just recently upgraded my bios to A02 on my Alienware M14X R2 and now I am experiencing freezing on my laptop. Anyone else experiencing this? Where can I get BIOS A01 so I can reinstall it?
Thanks.

Hi,
I am experiencing the same problem. I had the problem on A01 as well as A02.
My guess is that there is a hardware issue with this release. If you are still under warranty I would recommend trying to get Dell to replace your motherboard and see if this fixes anything.
I will be doing the same, I will let you know if it makes a difference.
Good luck.

Hi,
I was told to turn off the speedstep in the bios or reinstall the OS again from scratch (not using the respawn). First, I turn off the speedstep on the existing OS setup and the freezing stopped. I then turned speedstep back on and re-instaled the OS from scratch and the PC also stopped freezing.
Take care.

Since you were still up and running, we should have tried to backflash. Anyway, glad it is working. I can only find A02 and A03.
