Alienware M14x R2 Low Performance!

Question

PC Specs: Processor: i7-3630 2.4 GHz GPU: Nvidia GT 650M 1GB GDDR5 Ram: 16 GB DDR3 I have had my laptop for 7 months now and for the past few months the performance of the computer in most games has been less than desirable. In Planetside 2 on the lowest graphics settings I receive 5-15 FPS, and in War Thunder I receive 10-20 FPS on low settings. I have used Nvidia Optimus to make sure that I am using the Nvidia GPU and not the integrated Intel Graphics. I am also fairly sure that the computer is not overheating as I have a laptop cooling pad and during most games I run at 65 degrees Celsius and after a few hours of play the computer caps out at 70 degrees Celsius. I am also pretty sure that its not that the GPU can't handle these games as my friend has 500 series Nvidia GPU and he gets higher FPS than I do on much higher graphic settings. If anyone knows what the issue is I would be super appreciative if you could tell me what the issue is or point me in the right direction of finding a solution. Thank you in advanced :D.

I really appreciate your response, but sadly none of the optimization tools had an affect on my computers performance. Thanks anyways.

AFadul, in this case, the problem might be caused by a lot of different factors, both software or hardware related, I would recommend you to review the information on this article as it has the troubleshooting for this problem. Let me know the results you get.
