Try this, it may work.

1. Boot into windows as per normal

2. Look for a button (Usually F7) along the top of the keyboard that says I/D GFX.

3. Hold down the function button (FN) and press the I/D GFX button.

4. Follow the onscreen directions, if all goes well you should be able to restart your machine and install the nVidia drivers, if the drivers from the nvidia website dont work try the drivers from the Dell website, if they dont work you "may" have a problem

Good luck

Did you boot to windows first?

if yes then put the resource CD comes with laptop and install the driver of NVidia graphics card and see what happen.

if it is not detected then you may have a problem in the card.

please tell me what will happen good luck.

I/D GFX is only on M17x and 18x,

The M14x R2 and R1 does not have this button on the keyboard. It is Mute on F7.

I really dont want to disassemble my M14x to reseat the GPU. Any other resorts that could help?

It is not detected though I use the CD for drivers as well.

Do you guys know what problem could it be relate to? Windows? Bios? or Hardware?

The Bios Version is A10, I upgraded from A8 to A10 yesterday.

But it did not resolve the problem. It still shows the same result.

it shows Intel card Ivy, but in discrete graphics 1   [Not Detected]

I think you may have a problem either in bios software was corrupted or GPU hardware problem.

I searched Internet to find similar cases, and had found that some people made bios flashing to resolve the issue.

And some people just took the battery off for one day and it was resolved.

In both cases if bios software corrupted or hardware failure you need someone from Dell tech people to resolve the issue.

This is to avoid warranty issue.

I feel of how your frustration is by buying new laptop and started to face problems after spending money and time,

Good Luck

I do not know if you did this step, Can you try using diagnostic test by pressing F12 when booting and see may be it will detect it and work.

Good Luck
