i followed the steps but some of them i could not for instance: after the uninstall of command center in step 11 it says
"Double-click C:, ProgramData, Alienware, CommandCenter, and then the ThermalControls folders.
Delete the Profile.xml file, if present."
i could not find ThermalControls.
and also in step 13 it says "Go back to C:, then Users, click the folder of the primary users account name, Appdata, Local, Alienware,AlienwareAlienFX, and then Themes."
i did not find Alienware folder.
anyway i skiped these steps and reinstalled the command center and restarted the laptop. all of the lights went blue except for the lit keyboard it was not lighting up
The best way to know if your keyboard is fine is by opening a tool that can be found on the C:\Program Files\Alienware\CommandCenter/alienfx tester.
That application will activate all the lights at the same time with the same color. If the keyboard lights do not come on using that tool is because the keyboard is pretty much defective, lights at least.
A repair service to fix the issue. This is caused from installing the wrong command center. Dell charged $800 to replace the motherboard! They will fix it including return shipping for 150.00
