So would it work if I change the motherboard with a better graphics card embedded onto it?

The graphics card is embedded in the motheboard, so what you are stating is correct, you would have to replace the motherboard in order to upgrade the graphics card, but your system only has two options for graphics, the Nvidia GeForce GT555m 1.5GB and the Nvidia GeForce GT555m 3.0GB, so it's basically the same card, the only thing that changes is the video memory, I'm not sure a 1.5GB+ video memory is worth a motherboard replacement.
if i were to say that i would want to play a game that request at least lets say a navidia geforce 750 to run smoothly could i change the mother bored to run said game?
