Alienware M17 Alien FX stuck on a setting.

My Alienware laptop is stuck on a color setting for Alien FX. If I try to apply a new one nothing happens unless I change one specific part then it changes it all to the settings I have. Problem is that it reverts back to the old color scheme each time I restart the computer. Any way to fix this?

Try deleting all of the Command Center profiles except for the Dell default. Reboot. Create a new profile, tell it to load on restart. Save and restart.

How do I delete the profiles? I open up command center and it just opens Alien FX. I found the folder but don't know which files to delete.

* Access the Windows Control Panel and select Uninstall a program from the Programs and Features option
* Uninstall the AWCC from the Programs and Features Menu
* Follow the onscreen instructions on the AWCC Uninstallation Wizard to remove the application
* Open the Windows Explorer
* Access Organize and select Folder and search options
* Enable Show Hidden files, folders and drivers from the View tab and click OK
* From the Windows Explorer, access the path C:/ProgramData/Alienware/CommandCenter/ThermalControls and delete the Profile.xml file
* From the Windows Explorer, access the path C:/Users/Account name/AppData/Local/Alienware/Alienware AlienFX/Themes and delete all .ath extension files
* Reinstall the AWCC via the file you downloaded

I went by your instructions but not:

* From the Windows Explorer, access the path C:/ProgramData/Alienware/CommandCenter/ThermalControls and delete the Profile.xml file

* From the Windows Explorer, access the path C:/Users/Account name/AppData/Local/Alienware/Alienware AlienFX/Themes and delete all .ath extension files

Since I did not have those folders or files. I uninstalled the program, downloaded it again from Dell and reinstalled and rebooted my computer. I am still having the same problem.

Well, at this point I think you are looking at starting over with a clean operating system build. Make sure you backup your favorites, files, documentation, mp3s, etc. before loading the operating system clean.
