Hello!

Please verify first if the problem also happens when you use a headset or external speakers.

Then, make sure you've updated to the latest BIOS A12 and perform a clean installation of the audio driver following these steps:

  1. Open Device Manager from the Control Panel.
  2. Uninstall the audio driver from the Sound Controllers.
  3. Restart, then install the latest update from the link above.

I have tried several headphones and speakers and none have worked.

Could you help me guiding me through the BIOS installation? I am not so sure what I have to do and do not want to risk anything.

Btw, thanks for responding to the forum question!

Well I went back to a restore point to at least have sound. Is it possible to send my computer to alienwar or dell and have them looking at it? I really feel that this online thing is very limited(Not because of you, youve been helpful) and I really dont care what dell might do to the computer or if it takes a few weeks (Im already building a custom PC since obviously alienware doesnt work on very much at least on their laptops). If you know if theres such a thing I would really appriciate it if you could let me know, have a great day.

Since the problem was solved with the System Restore, it means it's software. Check for Windows Updates or other applications that might be interfering with the sound driver.

You can send it to depot only if there are parts to replace and as of now, the problem is only related to the software part. If it happens again, let us know and we'll review the case further.
