Alienware Optx AW2310 problems with 120Hz
Hey,
Searched all over the internet for a solution to this issue. I have the above monitor. Every time I change it to 120Hz, it gets all fuzzy. When I open the monitor settings, it says my monitor is running at 960x1080 @ 120Hz. I cannot get it to change to 1920x1080 @ 120Hz. I read that the issue was due to having a DVI-D single link cable. So I bought a DVI-D dual link cable --- still have the same issue. When I take a screenshot, the image looks perfectly fine. running 2 x GTX 570 SLI, latest drivers (not beta). Any ideas of what the issue could be. I would really like to see things at 120Hz, especially the 3D stuff.
Thanks.

czarofthefrozentundra,
What Dell computer?
* Remove the SLI bridge and second video card from the computer
* Retest 120Hz
* Remove that video card, replace it with the one you earlier removed
* Retest 120Hz

My computer is not a dell. The monitor I got from the dell outlet.
I removed the SLI and card. No change. Still have the same issue. I bought a second cable to see if the first one was faulty and test again.

So, the "new" cable I bought was either bad or not a legit DVI-D dual link. I bought a second one, and now things are running @ 120Hz without getting fuzzy. However, I have a new problem. Although the refresh rate is now correct, the screen periodically turns black on me and then comes back on. Also, while watching the Avengers in 3D, the screen was flickering a lot. Any ideas? I have the latest NVidia drivers (beta). I may try the official release to see if there is a difference.
