Alienware X51 CPU Upgrade options from i5 3330
Hi,
I'm still gutted at the decision to stop producing X51's so I have been slowly upgrading my existing R2 version.
I've upgraded from an GTX 660 to a GTX 1060 and it's awesome. However, I am now finding that my CPU (i5 3330) is causing a bottleneck on several CPU intensive games.
I have the 06G6JW motherboard - please somebody advise which CPU models I could upgrade to?
Also any X51 specific tips on CPU upgrading would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

hes got a 3rd gen R1 system.. i believe I7 3770k would be best bet..

Ah! I always assumed I had an R2 machine, but looking more into it and the existing specs of my system, I believe you're right and I actually have a 3rd gen R1.
