Alienware X51 R1 questions
Could anyone tell me the best graphic cards that would be compatible with this?
I haven't really touched this computer at all since I got it, so I guess suggesting graphic cards for the 240W and 330W power supply would be fine.
Thanks in advance.

240w: GTX 750 ti. Not sure if GTX 950 would work, but no reports confirm or deny the GTX 950 would work with the 240w PSU.
330w: GTX 960, GTX 970 (might need R2's power board for better power management), R9 285, R9 380.
Note that the above, sans GTX 950, have been community-tested.

I also have an Alienware X51 with a 330w PSU. This unit has a GeForce GTX 555 and I would like to replace it with a Gigabyte GV-N75T0C2-2GI GTX GeForce GTX 750 Ti. Will this GPU physically fit in this case? Also this unit is PCI 2.0 and the Gigabyte GPU is PCI 3.0, is this an issue?

The X51 R1 supports PCIe 3.0. You just need the latest BIOS (or a more updated BIOS).
Are you not able to get a GTX 960 instead? It's a much better performer than the GTX 750 ti. And I'm not sure that GPU will fit due to one of the heat pipes sticking out.
