Hi wimanya‌,

Why not just disable it at startup?

CTRL+ALT+DELETE >Task Manager >Startup, find AWSoundCenterUiLauncher.exe, right click on it and disable.

By default, the location of the exe: "C:\ProgramFiles\Alienware\AWSoundCenter\UserInterface\AWSoundCenterUILauncher.exe"

If you never will use it again, set the startup to disabled, restart the computer, then just go and delete the whole containing folder in C:\ProgramFiles (delete the whole AWSoundCenter folder) ... if ever needed, you can easily re-install the program from Alienware Support.

Also, you could go to Control Panel under Programs and Features and see if Alienware audio is listed there, if it is, uninstall and reboot. You may need to download and install Realtek drivers after again.

problem is that in task manager it doesnt show awsound but realtek hd audio, there's no such folder as AWSoundCenter as well as no alienware audio in Programs and Features, however it is listed in control panel as Alienware Audio, and when i manually launch realtek manager from realtek folder it launches alienware audio instead, any suggestions?

I'm still waiting for a solution, any updates?

if you can't find the folder, why don't you just open Windows Explorer and use the Search Funktion? type in "AWSoundCenterUILauncher.exe"" and hit enter.

and....
it is still a fan forum and not a chatroom. it's weekend. people have probably better things to do. please be patient.

could it be that the Alienware Audio IS actually the Realtek driver with modified interface?

It's just a guess on my part, but that is what I suspect. Realtek could have designed a special firmware for Dell, so it would be identified as "Dell Audio" or "Alienware Audio" and not "Realtek HD Audio" to Windows.

Not sure of the motivation, but I suppose it would enable Dell to control what audio drivers Windows-10 installs (or suggests to Install) on these machines.

Finally, I can report that on my Aurora-R6, Windows-10 Pro (64bit) identifies it's on-board audio device as "Realtek Audio".

could be, but that's not solving an issue. Any ideas how to make this post being noticed by dell/alienware support?

i want to separate front panel jack from back panel jack, so i can adjust the sound separately. I have speakers in front and headphones in back, but it plays sound in only speakers/headphones without any control

i see. try to find different driver. maybe not from Alienware. just figure out what Audio Chip you have and look around on the net.

and by the way, Dell tech support already noticed your request. look who answered your question first.

I doubt that works since the front and back analog audio outputs are bridged. Using the front disables the back. There is only one analog "line".

However, you can accomplish something like this if:

- You only use one-or-the-other analog outputs

- Make the other one USB-based or USB-Digital-Audio-dongle .

You will also be able to quickly switch between then by clicking on Speaker in TaskTray.

there is an option in Realtek manager to separate front and back. How to make the other usb-based?
