Alienware auroa R4 Gpu space
Hello there!, once again am back to probe you guys about my OCD of making sure my gtx 770 will fit in my alienware R4. I have noticed that when i open up the case ( and how lovely it is) that there is a black shroud that covers the graphics card. i couldn't help but admire how clean it made the case look but how it also made a wind tunnel to keep my hot bricks nice and cool. am wondering when i replace my gtx 555's, is there a space requirement to make sure that my gtx 770 asus direct Cu wont come into contact with the black shroud and cause damage? i know there properly is a universal measurement for the height on graphics cards, but the gtx 770 asus direct CU has a little bit extra sticking out, will this cause damage? what is the maximum height card i can have without it sticking out and hitting the black shroud thing? i know the gtx 555 is 4.376 inches in height but i can't find anything on even a reference gtx 770.

Ah right, i thought that would happen, am checking the dimensions against the 770 and they are both40 x 25 x 6 cm. correct me if am wrong but is that lenght, height and width? if so the lenght of the card is a whooping 15 inches which i dont think it could possibly be that long, and the height of it being 9.8 inches? my gtx 555 is only 4.5 inches and it just snuggly fits. how you got any way of removing that black shroud? just getting rid of it will probably solve the problem you are in and the one am about to be in.

am back, and you can easily remove the PCI shroud, if you look towards the hinges you can push a metal bit down and take it, problem is i cant put it back in, does not affect the temp and i might as well have it removed now.
