Hi Eric548,
I appreciate your technical expertise. You have already tried all the basic steps for this issue. However could you please tell me the light status on the adapter? Also when you connect the ac adapter to the laptop does the light on the adapter flicker or turn off? Please private message me the system service tag. To send a private message, click on my user name and select send a Private Message.

Hi Erik548,
We apologize for the delayed response, as DELL-Shrikanth G is on a long leave and in the meanwhile you can send me the Service tag of your computer on a private message. To send a private message, click on my user name and select send a Private Message. You can also try swapping the battery with your Alienware M11x R2 computer and check if that works fine and it will not void the warranty. The latest version of BIOS version A13 is available, please update the BIOS and restart the computer and check if this fixes the issue.
Please click on the below mentioned link to download the latest BIOS.
http://dell.to/1dFtXxL
Type in the Service tag and click on Drivers and downloads and select using the operating system and install the drivers under BIOS.
Note: To update the BIOS the battery should be charged a minimum of 40%.
Reply us with your findings.
