Alienware shut down and will not boot

Question

My Wife's Alienware 14 laptop shutdown on her in the middle of an on line game. Now the laptop will not turn on. The power cord light glows blue when it is plugged into the wall socket but turns off after plugging into the laptop and will not turn on......Is this a power source issue?

i think that you are right, you dont have another power supply to check before buying a new one ?
