Alienware x51 R1 upgrade to STRIX-GTX960-DC2OC-2GD5
So I was planning to upgrade my geforce gtx 555 to asus STRIX-GTX960-DC2OC-2GD5 and I was wondering if it would fit in and run efficiently.
www.asus.com/.../specifications
I have a 330W PSU and my processor is Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHZ.

While the GTX 960 will work in the X51 R1, the one you want won't fit. You want to get a blower design GPU. ASUS does have one, and it should work fine.

We didn’t validate that video card for the X51R1 so there is no way for us to assure you if it will work properly however you can ask on notebook review or in Alienware arena since they are used to modify systems.

Im currently on alienware R1 and thinking to upgrade to gtx 960
So you were reffering for this:
ASUS TURBO-GTX960-OC-2GD5
www.asus.com/.../
but as I red throught the specs, the dimension does not fit as Dell has described here:
www.dell.com/.../SLN296867
this is confusing.. would you verify this asus upgrade to be recomendable or not?
on the other hand would you be able to give us more recommendation of choices of GTX 960? 3 options would be great.. Thx in advance
