Service Manual: Chapter 3: Chassis ---> remove left bottom panel page 17
*** 3 clips, back, middle, front; be careful with front clip. Look at your new part, see where clips are, stick hand in case to release clips, careful with led wires ...
Chassis Service Manual, page 18, Right Bottom Lower:
That one is trickier:
Remove pci shroud
remove the power supply
remove the farthest forward hard drive fan (Chapter 9: Fans)
Optional step: if you do not remove front panel/bezel & lower grill 1st, you might break the forward clip. The lower grill holds the front panel clip, easily broken if grill is not removed 1st. Super-glue if you break clip.
How to remove front bezel/lower grill:
remove both side panel doors
remove pci fan (Chapter 9: Fans)
remove the front bezel/front panel (Chapter 8)
remove the lower front grill: screws on bottom, clips on top, released ed from inside
unplug bottom panel led connector from master i/o
inspect new panel for clip placements, unclip right bottom panel; back, middle, front
I replaced both lower panels on mine; the mthrbrd side was easy, but I broke the lower grill clip on the hard drive side, because I didn't remove the front bezel/panel & front lower grill 1st.
I had to replace the front lower grill due to this (which meant I had to remove the bezel afterall & was out 6 dollars, lol).
Just be careful if you try this w/out removing front bezel/lower grill. Look at your replacement panel so you know where the clips are & if you can safely replace it w/out removing front bezel/lower grill, yes? Good luck
