Check out this information I found on how to set up the surround connection it might help you.

Thanks for the response.  However, I cannot get past the connection error message no matter how I try to configure the connections.  I bought 3 DisplayPort to VGA adapters and have tried a few of their recommended configurations - the three screens STILL work properly in windows, but the same connection error message appears when trying to implement the SURROUND setup.

So I supposed my revised question is, can the surround feature be used with three analog (i.e. having only VGA input) monitors?

Read this post. This guy was using 3 VGA monitors but had issues getting it to work. After he bought new adapters he got it working.

I believe you can do VGA but I don't think you can use VGA cables. Have you tried using only DVI cables with VGA adapters?
