Area 51 r2 2015 making buzzing noise under load

Whenever we load up up a game rise of the tomb raider or gta 5 a strange buzzing sound starts coming from the system. It could be the cpu but we disconnected the cpu pump and the noise is still there. A technician came to fix the problem by changing the psu and cpu pump but the noise is still there in games. Now the replaced psu is making noises which has caused a second problem.  Is the first noise normal ?

Hi,

Have you tried opening the case while the noise is going on to find where it comes from?

Have you tried running the Dell ePSA diagnostic?

If you say that it only happens on games it may come from the video card as well.

You can try the steps below:

  1. Uninstall NVIDIA/AMD graphics driver. You can use Revo uninstaller.
  2. Uninstall Intel graphics driver
  3. Flash latest system BIOS.
  4. Reinstall Intel graphics driver from Dell’s support page.
  5. Reinstall NVIDIA/AMD graphics driver from their website.

Finally, try running a SupportAssist stress test to check how the system performs.
