Hi Daniel_TAN,

When did the problem start? Do they open halfway or not open at all (please attach a picture if possible)? Do they work if you set them up to open automatically?

it started from the time I got my alienwear, only the first fin, opens like 3 or 4degree?, like it only moves a litle bit, and I have no means to test the auto open

Hi Naomi, I am having a similar issue. My vents stay open all the time (and I have them set to automatically open at 75% power which I'm not getting to). They close for a couple of seconds at startup but re-open and stay open. Again at shutdown, they remain open after closing momentarily. I got my PC less than a month ago, and it's been like this ever since I first booted it up. Is there anything I can test? Regards, Rob

Hi RobertMagnusson,

Please both of you try to re-install the Alienware Command Center by following the instructions in this article

Hi Naomi, I've now followed the instructions twice. The vents still open. They close momentarily during a restart, but re-open to their previous position again. Should I try to totally disconnect the PC - and, if so, at what point during uninstalling/re-installing the command center?

Try a power drain: disconnect power cord, press and hold the power button for 30 - 45 seconds, reconnect and turn the system ON. Then, try re-installing the Command Center again.

If issue persists, send me a private message with your Service Tag, contact information and link to this thread so I can assist you further.
