Aurora (x58 chipset) BIOS Boot Screen

I reinstalled my OS the other day and I think I may have lost some functionality.  I thought that, before the reinstall, that changing my desktop theme in Win7 also changed the Alienware image that showed up during the BIOS boot stage (not talking about the windows splash screen, I know how to change that).  I might be mistaken and it was always a red eyed alien head, I just can't remember.

Either way, does anyone know how to change it?  I use bluish green for my case, mouse, and keyboard as well as the desktop and Windows boot image.  It seems odd to keep using a red alienhead at BIOS.

No, you can't change the AW head image at BIOS boot (and no, it isn't linked to what you set in Windows in any way).

However, if you upgraded your BIOS it might have changed as part of the BIOS flash. As I remember, BIOS A08 had a plain alien head. After flashing the BIOS to A09, now the eyes are glowing red. They just embedded a different graphic in A09.

Does that answer your question?

That is probably what happened since I updated the bios right after I got the machine.  Thanks.
