BIOS for Alienware M17 R1
Hi, I have an Alienware M17 R1 which I upgraded to Windows 8. I am now having issues with BSOD on shutdown/restart and need to ensure I have the latest BIOS. The version I have is W841.B14, release date 03/04/2009.
I have tried contacting Dell, but they cannot support my PC, since it was bought just prior to their takeover of Alienware. I tried the BIOS update on their site for an Alienware M17x, but it wasn't compatible.
Can anyone advise where I might find the latest BIOS for my machine? The Alienware website is of no help.

My apologies, but we do not have any training in those pre-Dell computers. We also do not have access to log into the pre-Dell Alienware website. Please contact Pre-Dell Legacy Alienware Support at 1-866-287-6727. When contacting technical support, please have your account number, name, e-mail address, and phone number available. This number can be found in your owner's manual and on the back of your PC.

Many thanks for your response. I have spoken to the support number you provided and they say they are not able to assist anyone outside the US! Also, their system doesn't recognise the account or order numbers on my PC or manual.
Do you have any other suggestions as to how I can get updated low-level drivers for my PC?
