Black Screen When Gaming (Not Overheating)
Hello everyone!
This is my first time posting so i'm not sure if i'm doing this correctly. Anyway, my laptop screen will go black when I play any games on my computer such as LoL, Aion, FO4. I am able to get to the game menus but when im actually in game the black will go black, the computer will still be on, and sometimes the sound of the game is still going. The only way the get vision back is by holding down the power button until the laptop completely turns off, then turning the computer back on. I have been having this problem for the past 6 months. At first I thought my CPU and GPUs where overheating so I cleaned out my fans and shell then made my own "cooling table" which brought the temps down from 70-80 degrees celsius to 13-30 degrees celsius. Then I restored my computer back to its factory state and cleaned installed all drivers. The problem seemed to have been fixed until about a week later it came back. So I thought it was a problem with my power supply, so I increased power input in the BIOS which fixed the problem for a few hours, I reset it back to defaults after. I have tried underclocking and overclocking both with the same result, black screen. All my drivers are up to date, sli is turned on, and all settings are set for performance mode. I have tried other "solutions" as well that I cannot remember. I have spent countless hours researching and trying to fix this problem only to find that nobody has a solution. I will continue to try, I figured it was worth a shot to ask someone for help. I doubt I will get any responses but im desperate. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for the help! Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675M < there's your problem
I had an alienware m17x r4 with the same issue, screen would just go black i could hear sound most of the time.
That's graphics card is a disaster you'll need to replace it and even after you do after about a year itll start happening again.

I cant afford to replace those cards right now, are there any specific legacy drivers that could correct the problem? Besides I just need a temporary fix for about six months until I can build my desktop.
