Brand New Aurora R4 Has Alienhead And Front Light Blinking Yellow When The System Is Turned Off
My new Aurora R4 arrived yesterday (huge excitement) However I have found that when I turn the computer off (not sleep mode) the Alien head and light at the bottom front continue to blink yellow. If I unplug the machine and hold the power button down they go out but after the next start up and shut down they just blink yellow again.
So far I have tried:
Unplugging the power cord and holding the power button for two minutes
Uninstalling command center, Unplugging the power cord and holding the power button for two minutes reboot and run Ccleaner registry cleaner and shut down
Reinstalling command center (from the link Chris posted) Area-51, Area-51 ALX, Aurora-R1, Aurora-R1 ALX, Aurora-R2, Aurora-R3, Aurora-R4, X51
7/9/12 2.8.9.0 A02-00 (App_DT_AWCC_W7_X04_Setup_TD4C0_ZPE.exe)
http://ftp1.us.dell.com/FOLDER00631617M/2/
And still the alien head and lower front light blink yellow when the machine is turned off.
Now call me picky but I expect a machine I spent this kind of money on to work properly and find this to be unacceptable, not to mention quite irritating!
Has anyone actually gotten this issue resolved?

Thanks for the reply Luis.
I beleive I did exactly what is described in the article this morning with no change in the lights blinking when the machine is off. I will go through it again tonight when I get home and post another update.

Luis, that worked.
However selecting black/off for the lighting color for those zones is really just a workaround for a problem, not a fix.
It appears Dell/Alienware has no intention of fixing the issue with Command Center / MIO boards to prevent this from happening from the start. But as long as they are not on when the machine is off I can live with it.
I have a dispatch in progress and a tech coming out next week to replace the MIO board anyway to see if I get lucky and get one that actually works properly.
