Broadcom NetLink (TM) Gigabit Ethernet Slow to Connect at Boot

Another annoyance with the new Area-51 is the time it takes until the Ethernet adapter establishes a network connection following a start/restart.  Currently takes 45 secondes to "connect" after I reach the desktop.  This card has two Ethernet connections but I'm only using one, so I disabled the second but boot perfromance did not improve.

PS: All the other Windows 7/Vista PCs on my network connect immediately upon reaching the desktop.

Any ideas?

That is fortunate for you that it connects.

In all honesty it could be there is a problem with your jack.

I have the same ethernet as you but unfortunate for me mine says, "unidentified network" and can't connect to the internet and I only have 1 ethernet port. Where is your second one?

Either way a tech is coming to my home to replace the motherboard so I hope your doesn't get worse.
