Can my Aurora R4 ALX handle a 295x2?

I want to upgrade my current 680 but i will not give up my PCI-e gaming drive and sound card, so i do not have the room for SLI. So i am looking at the ATI 295x2 video card that requires:

  • System power supply with two 8-pin PCIe® power connectors that are each capable of supplying 28 A of dedicated current

I know that the 875 watt psu is beefy enough to support almost anything SLI minus perhaps 2x 780ti OC editions. But anyway... Can my systerm handle that? I do not want to spend 1500.00 to find out i was wrong. I am normally an NVIDIA man and dont really like ATI.... but Nvidia has its head so far up its behind with ttrying to shove the titan/titanz down our throats.(and yes yes its a pro card BUT they marketed it like it was gamings second coming only to ger CRUSHED by the 295x2)

Your 875 specs out as 18amps per cable, so you're 10a short on each. Comparatively, they want 50amps nominal across two cables; you're @ 36a.

A new aftermarket psu in Aurora isn't unheard of; here's a 1250w install thread & video link:

Anyone willing to drop that much cash shouldn't blush at another ~$200 or so for a better psu. I hope what I said here helps.
