Case lights change when running games

Question

Hi all,

I've noticed with a few games now that the case lights change color when im playing certain games, so far bf3 and orcs must die 2. I am assume it's a alienware gimmick, it worried me at first as i thought there might be something wrong with the temperature.

I was just wondering if this is just a gimmick firstly and secondly if theres a way to control it? ie turn it off.

Alienware Command Center will do that if you set it to do it. Did you open it up and check the settings yet? You should see an Alienhead down in your system try. Click that to open it.

Right click on TaskTray Alienhead. Unselect option 'Enable 3rd Party AlienFX Access.'
