The team told me that the older models will not get a AWCC 3.x version.
Did you follow these instructions? Then, reinstall version 2.8.10.0, A02?
* Turn the system off * Remove the battery from the system * Disconnect the AC Adapter from the system * Press and hold the power button in for 20 to 30 seconds to drain any residual charge in the capacitors * Reconnect only the AC Adapter to the system * Wait for 30 seconds and then turn the system on * Press F2 to enter the System Bios * On the Main screen, look for the AC Adapter. It should show something like: AC Adapter Type 123W * If you see that listing, exit the System Bios and alow the system to boot all the way into Windows * Click Start- Turn Off Computer- Turn Off * Reinstall the battery into the system * Turn the system on * Press F2 to enter the System Bios * Go to the Advance screen * Look for Battery Health. It should list "This battery is performing normally" * Exit the System Bios and alow the system to boot all the way into Windows * Once into Windows, press FN F2 to display the Battery Status Meter
Heywhellie - Look above Chris M stated that we won't be getting Command center 3.0, unless you have the new Alienware laptop's out.
Chris M - Thanks for that information, that's what Alienware tech support said to try before they sent an engineer out to replace the hard drive and then said it's a BIOS issue....
I'd have to agree with you, it's pretty poor that the 'older' laptops are not getting CC 3.0 but it looks like the only difference between their version and ours is a performance menu allowing you to monitor temperatures etc.

Hi Chris
Good memory! Yeah I have the charging issue and the AlienFX issue, Tech support seem to believe the two are related somehow?
Hence asking about Command Centre 3.0
Thanks,

Where is the Command Center 3.0 available from? Is it compatible with the M18x R2?

Thanks tinker. Amazing that a 4 month old M18xR2 can be considered obsolete so that command center 3.0 won't work on it.
