In that case I will recommend you to reinstall windows, install all the drivers, the Alienrespawn and create the external back up.

Yes you will need to reinstall Alienrespawn to create the recovery media, check out the following videos, on them you will find important information.

Ok. I downloaded and re-installed Respawn.
when I ran it I received the error message....
"the factory partition is missing or corrupt"
I can see the partition in disk manager. I have no idea how it got corrupted since we didn't touch it
Any suggestions?

Thank you for answering, but how do I reinstall Windows? No media came with the computer?
Is there a key sequence I can use to restore from the hidden partition?
