Dell Alienware 14 Not Charging

Hie Team

I have a dell Alien-ware m14 ,which is not charging.

In the bios the battery shows the health is normal and the power source is unknown and when l tested with another power pack of lower amperage it showed 130w but still it did not charge guess due to the lower amperage of the power pack.Any recommendations what should l start replacing .

Regards

If another Dell adapter IS recognized but the battery will not charge, it's likely a bad battery.

Note:  make sure you used an OEM Dell adapter.  Non-Dell adapters will power but most often WILL NOT charge the battery.

Hey there,

Recently had this problem myself. You're probably also getting an error message with "AC adapter not supported" from nVidia.

Unfortunately this is like an issue with connection of the charging port of the computer with the motherboard, and can be fixed, but is recommended it's done professionally.

Hope I helped,

Todd
