Does anyones Aurora NOT have audio interference in the front port?

It seems everyone I know who owns an Aurora has horrible static/interference in the front audio port when moving their mouse. Does anyone own an aurora that does not have this problem? If it is on every system why has Dell not fixed/recalled it?

Try muting the sound and moving your mouse and let me know if you hear anything.

No problem on mine as far as I can tell.  I have used it to listen to music using high quality ear buds and the sound came through well.

I'll mute and move the mouse and report back tonight.

Issue = The Analog ground was routed to mounting hole 3. The other two mounting holes are routed to Digital or chassis ground. When the board is mounted in the chassis, it ties the Digital chassis ground with the Analog ground creating a ground loop allowing switching noise from the +12VA rail to get onto the Analog ground.

Solution = It's a design error in the Front Panel Power I/O board. We are getting the Front Panel Power I/O board redone to make sure the two grounds are not shorted. The boards should be ready by May. When I hear they are ready, I will post the new part number for the Front Panel Power I/O board. You would use that part number when contacting Technical Support. You will be able to install the board yourself or have an onsite technician.

I have the exactly same problem, and in my research on the web i saw that a lot of people are with the same problem. I hear a very anoying static using the headphone on front panel, even muted. Looks like the mouse movement affects the noise too, because it becomes more frequent when moving the mouse. If i plug the headfone in the back panel, there's no problem, but the mic input in back panel from X-FI Extreme sound board is not working as mic in, so, the only mic port that i have is on front panel. At this moment i'm using the mic port from the front panel and the audio port from the back panel. I saw some opinions about a flaw in design process that is related with the ground output and the front panel audio out and a possible solution using a nylon screw. Until now, this is the best theory that i've found in my opinion. i wasn't able to find any solution from Dell, and it seems that this problem is not new, there are reports from 12/2009. I only know that Dell haven't fixed it yet and the case remains with no solution.

It seems as though I don't have this issue. I remember when I first started using the front jacks I had mild interference, but I recently updated my Realtek drivers to the latest version (v2.43) and the problem doesn't seem to exist anymore. I'm not sure that this will fix everyone's considering it's a ground issue, but it's helped me.
