May I ask what your Windows Experince HDD Score is with those 2 SSDs in RAID 0? Do you happen to remember what it was with just one? I'm thinking a SSD will be my next upgrade. Only my OS and main programs are on C: (I've purposely been keeping it fairly small as I've been loading software).
I went to Dell.com to customize a new Area51 system and I was able to add a RAID 0 for OS and RAID 1 for additional storage. So if Dell would let me spec that out, I would assume my BIOS/RAID controller would work.
I am planning on mirroring both my 2TB hard drives. I aslo have a APC 750KVA UPS for my system and a APC 600KVA UPS for my montiors and router.
A tradional RAID 0+1 is a little different than what he is talking about.
I don't know if it will work, but if you have the drives on-hand just give it a try. Be sure you have a good UPS on the system.
I you are going to be running 2TB drives, it's smart to to keep them constantly backed-up because they aren't very reliable and that's a lot of data to lose all at once.
Thanks. Yes, that would put my HDD score into the 7's ... along with the rest of my scores. A 120gb would be perfect for me (for now, and room to grow).

I have changed my mind on the RAID 5 for my storage. I have a great deal on 2TB storage and will be using Two 2TB drives in RAID 1.
Can my Area 51 BIOS/RAID controller support two different RAIDs at the same time? My example setup would be like this:
RAID 0 - OS (I currently have this RAID installed now)
RAID 1 - Storage (What I want to Add)
Any advice would be appreciated.

It supports Raid 0+1 but I do not have any documentation on how to set it up.

Thank you both Chris and Tesla for replying.

Tesla, I looked at a few screan shots i used and I beleive my WEI score for a single SSD is 7.3. With two SSDs in RAID 0 it is a 7.7
Hope this helps. BTW the SSDs are the best upgrade I have done with any system that i have owned. My OS boots fast and my Games Map loads are insane!
